I grew up in North Hollywood where I knew from a young age that veterinarian medicine was in my future. I obtained a BS in Zoology and a MS in Biology from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona and then graduated from Western University of Health Sciences, College of Veterinary Medicine with my DVM in 2013. Since then, I have been in small animal practice, though I do enjoy seeing small mammals in addition to reptiles. I joined the faculty at Western University of Health Sciences, College of Veterinary Medicine as an assistant professor of small animal medicine starting in February 2023. When not in the veterinary clinic, I enjoy spending time hiking, camping, and traveling with my wife and two kids. I am also busy keeping two cats at home from plotting to take over the world.

I have been working as a small animal general practitioner since I graduated in June 2017. I grew up in Yorba Linda, but left Southern California to attend college at Cornell University. I later went to veterinary school at St. George’s University in Grenada, then completed my clinical year at Virgina Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine. I am currently working on completing a Master’s in Public Health. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with friends and family, especially the two family English Springer Spaniels.

I’m an accomplished veterinarian with extensive academic and clinical credentials, holding a Master’s in Veterinary Anatomy and Histology, and a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Seoul National University. In 2000, I completed the E.C.F.V.G. program at Tufts University, followed by a comprehensive clinical internship in California, focusing on emergency critical care, internal medicine, and surgery.

With a commitment to surgical excellence, I served as a facilitating veterinarian at Western University for three years and pursued a small animal surgery residency in Torrance, California. Proficient in various orthopedic and soft tissue surgeries, including TPLO and complex fracture repairs, I’m certified in TKR and trained in Hip Arthroplasty.

Since 2017, I’ve been a Clinical Faculty Member at Western University, leading Small Animal Practice II at the Pet Health Center. As a dedicated contributor to clinical research, my interests include surgical emergencies, capsule endoscopy, and minimally invasive surgery. My ongoing commitment to advancing veterinary medicine is evident in my continuous pursuit of knowledge and skill enhancement

I graduated from Konkuk University College of Veterinary Medicine in South Korea in 2014. After that, I completed a residency in Diagnostic Imaging, subsequently working as a veterinary radiologist in Korea. In 2021, I undertook a clinical year at the University of Missouri in Columbia. I joined 91Æƽâ°æ in 2022. Outside of work, I enjoy hobbies like scuba diving and bird watching, and I share my home with two cats and one dog .
